Kyle brings more than 20 years of public and private sector development experience to his role with Marlboro Development Team (MDT). He is responsible for leading the real estate development efforts of the Upstate, SC office.

Kyle began his career working in local and regional public sector economic development positions in North and South Carolina. During his time in the public sector, Kyle worked with multiple international and domestic companies, resulting in more than $750 million in capital investment and the creation of over 3,200 jobs. Kyle’s public-sector experience provides a unique perspective in assisting private sector clients as they navigate through entitlements, grants/incentives, site selection, and working with community stakeholders.

Prior to joining Marlboro Development Team, Kyle launched and managed a regional office for a national real estate developer, serving as the Development Director for the Southeastern U.S. In this role, Kyle oversaw all development activities including project sourcing, contract and lease negotiation, entitlements, construction procurement, underwriting, and tenant services.

During Kyle’s tenure in this role, he and his team developed over 2 million square feet of primarily single tenant build-to-suit industrial, office, and retail properties spread across more than 25 projects. His efforts and leadership transformed a region with less than $2 million in historical investment by his former employer to a portfolio of Class A properties valued at more than $100 million.

Kyle graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Montreat College. He is also a graduate of the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute.
