Brian brings more than 20 years of industrial real estate development experience on a local, regional, and national level to his role at Marlboro Development Team (MDT). He is responsible for growing the portfolio of commercial assets via build to suits and strategic acquisitions.

Between 2002 and 2009, Brian was the Industrial Development Market Leader for a national real estate developer that constructed more than 13 million square feet of industrial, multi-family, and retail projects. In this role, Brian led development and marketing efforts in the Carolinas and was part of a select team that expanded the company’s footprint from a one-office regional player into a national force with seven regional locations.

Building on his achievements in private business, Brian spent 7 years – from 2009 to 2015 – as the Director of Business Development for the Economic Futures Group, the economic development engine for Spartanburg County, SC. While in the public sector, he attracted more than 135 projects totaling approximately $4.5 billion in capital investment and resulting in the creation of more than 10,000 jobs.

Brian joined forces with Kyle Edney in 2015 to expand the regional office in the Carolinas for a national real estate development firm based in the Midwest. Together, they created tremendous success by developing 3 million square feet of industrial/office/retail assets across the East Coast.

Brian graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from Wofford College. He is a Past President of the South Carolina Economic Developers Association and served on the Board for 7 years. Brian is also a frequent public speaker on economic development and industrial real estate topics as well as a licensed South Carolina real estate agent.
